With 1.3mm face and back veneers, Baltic Birch provides ample thickness for sanding, unlike those with only 0.3mm veneers that are easily sanded through. Its light-coloured and smooth surface make it an excellent choice for furniture, cabinetry, and design projects, combining aesthetics with long-lasting performance across various applications. Baltic Birch Plywood Grades

Baltic Birch Plywood is available in a range of grades, each tailored to meet specific applications and requirements. We offer carefully selected options to ensure quality, durability, and versatility for your projects. Our range includes Standard BB/BB, S/BB, and Premium B/BB Grade, catering to diverse needs, from functional construction to high-end, visually appealing finishes.

BB/BB Grade

BB/BB grade birch plywood features BB grade veneer on both faces, allowing patches and minor imperfections. It's ideal for non-visual applications such as shelving, kitchen carcasses, CNC machining, or finishing with dark stains or solid colours. One face is typically slightly better, offering added flexibility for versatile use.

S/BB Grade

S/BB grade birch plywood features an S-grade face, similar to Grade B, with natural defects such as healthy knots up to 25mm, minor brown veins, and small dropped-out knots up to 5mm. The S face is free from plugs, making it ideal for clear finishing or painting. The reverse side is standard BB grade.

Premium B/BB Grade

Premium birch plywood features both faces free from plugs and patches, offering a clean, high-quality finish. The front face is comparable to B grade, while the reverse is similar to S grade, with minimal natural defects. Ideal for high-end joinery and applications where flawless appearance on both sides is essential.
